• Hello Grand Oaks Gator Families,

    Welcome back to the 2021-2022 school year. We are scheduled to be back in school full-time! We are very excited to have your child(ren) back at school. In retrospect, we have learned so much this last year and a half. The importance of family, adjusting to learning from home, new ways of teaching and learning through technology and applications, communication through a virtual platform, and the proper hygiene to help keep sickness away. Our students and families have learned so much. 

    While we are coming back to school, it is important to note, that we are still in unprecedented times and the word flexibility is how we will operate from day to day. Providing a healthy and safe environment is one of our main goals this school year.  Masks will be worn inside classrooms and will be worn outside at recess. Students will have opportunities to take mask breaks throughout the school day. The CDC made a strong recommendation that masks should be worn outside. This was a difficult decision for me, my thinking is I would rather start off with more strict guidelines and then loosening up the mask mandate as the COVID cases decline. 

    Grand Oaks will be providing free breakfast and lunch eat day. Don't forget to fill out the School Funding form online (This provides our school with the appropriate funding to meet students needs) and join Classdojo for communications from the school and from your teacher. 

    Please come to our Back to School BBQ Picnic on Wednesday, August 11. Bring a blanket and a mask. Kindergarten, First grade and SDC grade families, please come between 3:30-4:15, Second grade and third grade come from 4:15-5:00, fourth and fifth grade 5:00-5:45. If you have multiple children at Grand Oaks you can choose which time to attend.
