The Del Paso Manor Strategic Plan was adopted for the 2010-2011 school year. In the spring of 2013, the staff of DPM met over a series of several weeks to refine and update the plan. The updated plan will guide Del Paso Manor into the future and provide a focus for the school community. The strategic plan is broken into three tactics, all of which support the school's mission and objectives.

    Del Paso Manor's Mission

Valuing a culturally and academically diverse community, Del Paso Manor Elementary School's mission is to educate and inspire each student to develop a strong academic foundation that supports life-long learning and responsible citizenship by providing intellectually challenging instruction while promoting integrity and critical thinking.

    Del Paso Manor's Objectives

By 2014, all students will increase their academic proficiency using technology and 21st Century Skills such as communication, collaboration, creativtiy, and critical thinking as demonstrated through multiple measures.
    • All students will develop and consistently demonstrate personal integrity, responsible behavior and exemplary citizenship.
    • All students will develop and apply knowledge and understanding of cultures representing our diverse community.
    • By 2014, we will decrease the achievement gap in targeted subgroups by at least 50%.

The strategic plan is aligned with the San Juan School District's strategic plan but is written specifically for Del Paso Manor School. The plan was written by teachers and the community and then presented to a panel of community members, the school administrator and staff members of Del Paso Manor. The plan was approved by the Del Paso Manor School Site Council prior to implementation.
