Submit a Comment
Submit a written comment for the Jan. 26 meeting of the board of education.
There are two ways to submit a comment to the board of education. You may use the form linked above to submit your comment in writing. Comments submitted prior to 6 p.m. on Jan. 26 will be shared with the board members prior to the start of the meeting. Comments received after 6 p.m. will be shared with board members and may also be read during the meeting.
If you would like to offer a verbal comment, you may do so by joining the Zoom meeting. During the appropriate public comment period, indicate your desire to speak by using the 'raise hand' feature. On the Zoom client, the raise hand button is found at the bottom of the screen for a mobile device, the bottom of the participants list on a desktop device or by pressing *9 on your keypad if you call into the meeting's audio feed.
Commenting on an item that IS on the meeting agenda
If your comment is regarding a topic that is on the board meeting agenda, indicate which item it is if submitting a written comment using the form. If offering a verbal comment via Zoom, wait until public comment is called for that specific item before raising your hand. Do not raise your hand to speak during general public comment.
Commenting on items that are NOT on the meeting agenda
If your comment is regarding a topic that is NOT on the current meeting's agenda, please select "general comment" when submitting a written comment. If offering a verbal comment via Zoom, raise your hand during the general public comment period held toward the start of the meeting or the second period held near the end of the meeting. Refer to the meeting agenda for specific agenda items for general public comment.
