The Apex program will launch with a fun pep rally on Monday, October 22nd, followed by 6 days of interactive leadership lessons from the Apex team. Students have two-weeks to raise pledges for the laps they will run on Friday, November 2nd (between 26 and 36, 36-lap max). Our school is the top performing Elementary school in SJUSD. One reason is because of the amazing parental involvement that we have at Green Oaks. While it's not required, it is suggested that each family give 30 hours of their year to volunteer in some way to support the programs at Green Oaks. This can be filled through volunteering in the classroom, library, media lab, or at any PTA event. If you are looking for ways to fulfill your 30 hours, please contact your child's teacher or the PTA at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Join your friends forSKATE NIGHTS!October 9, January 22, March 24, and May 20
Skate Nights at Green Oaks are an opportunity for students to enjoy some exercise and social time while Green Oaks earns some money. Sunrise Rollerland offered us a GREAT return on investment in the form of a 50/50 payout. Because we have more than three events annually, we are eligible to participate in their new program that pays $3.50 of each $7.00 admission and skate rental fee right back to the school if we have a minimum of 150 participants. Please help us hit that 150 mark at each of the following skate night events from 4:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Remember to save your homework passes so you can use them on skate nights!Come at 4:30 if you want to join us for a free skating lesson!See you there!Sunrise Rollerland6001 Sunrise Vista Dr, Citrus Heights(916) 961-3339
"Fall Performance Reserved Parking Spot"The parking spot in our front parking lot that is labeled "Fall Performance Reserved" is for our winner of the live auction held during the Fall Performance. The family generously donated to have that parking spot all year. Please do not park there, even if it is the only empty spot! Keep up all of your hard work and THANK YOU!
