    Volunteering

Volunteers are highly valued at Ottomon. Check with your student’s teacher to schedule a time to work in the classroom. There is always a need for an Art Docent, correcting papers, preparing packets or projects, and working with individual students. All volunteers must be fingerprinted. Fingerprinting is done at the district office. Signed fingerprint forms and directions are available in the school office and must be presented at the district office along with a valid, unexpired photo identification in order to be fingerprinted. All volunteers must sign in and out at the school office and wear a volunteer’s badge for the duration of their visit on campus.

    Field Trip Chaperones

Parents are encouraged to chaperone on field trips. Siblings are not allowed to attend field trips when parents are chaperoning. All chaperones must pass a fingerprint background check, and any chaperone driving their private vehicle to transport students other than their own must provide the school office with a copy of their current unexpired driver’s license and a copy of the current declaration page for their vehicle’s liability insurance. Vehicles must carry a minimum of $100,00 per person/$300,000 per accident bodily injury policy.
