Attendance

  • Attendance is very important to ensure your child's academic success.

Every instructional minute counts, from the first moments of the day to the final moments before school is released. Students who attend school regularly and on time, are more successful than those who do not.

Regular attendance has been linked to higher achievement, stronger bonds to the school and community, lower rates of delinquent and high risk behavior, and increased participation in higher education.

    How you can help
    1. Convey a positive attitude about school and treat going to school as part of the normal course of events, something that is expected of your child.
    2. Let them know that school is the most important thing in their life at this time, and that their future job opportunities will depend on how well they handle their present “job” (school).
