    As a reminder to all students! November is almost halfway over so make sure to pay attention to your student portal; keep an eye on your grades and attendance! With the holidays coming up it is easy to lose track of attendance and grades, if you need any help or have questions the attendance office would be happy to help.


    Rio will be holding our annual Fall Blood Drive on Friday Nov 17. You have to be at least 16 years old anyone under 18 years old needs to bring a parent consent form to the event. Sign-ups are by the stage at lunch or contact Kaitlyn Ketsdever or Victoria Calk.


    The Rowdy Raiders have received the September order.  They are now in Mr. Paulus’ room A-14.  They can be picked up before school or at lunch (not after school or during morning break.  For those who ordered their shirts in October, they should be here by the end of November.


    Mark your calendar’s Raiders! Monday November 27 is the Rowdy Raider Royalty vs Faculty Basketball game! It will be held in the large gym from 5:00-7:00pm come out and support!


    There is a meeting tomorrow at lunch for anyone interested in participating in the Winter Rally Lip Sync Competition. Come to room C-10 during lunch tomorrow for the meeting.


    Any student with an open 6 period needs to come by the attendance office with their ID card at break or lunch to receive an open period sticker.

    Ms. Roderick’s class will be selling pumpkin bread throughout the holiday season from room E-2.  The cost is 1 slice for $.50 or a small loaf for $2.00.  This could be a great little gift for someone or a special treat just for you.  Please help support the special education class by purchasing this specially made bread.  Either send an email to Kaci Roderick’s or come by room E-2 if you would like to make an order. 

    Tutoring by teachers in most academic areas offered before school, during lunch and after school. Please check the monthly schedule posted in your teacher's room, Rio website or outside the main office window case for exact time, location and day.


    College Visits: Admission representatives from the following colleges and universities will be visiting Rio Americano in the coming weeks. If you would like to attend one of the college presentations, please stop by the counseling office and sign up with Mrs. Athey.
