Once again, because spring and summer are more difficult months for food banks to keep their shelves stocked, the Student Council is holding a Spring Food Drive. Please help us continue to feed hungry families in our area by donating.

A bag to collect your donation along with a list of items that we are in extra need of will go home with your child March 29TH.

The food bags should be returned to school ON APRIL 5TH. The Orangevale -Fair Oaks Foodbank will have a truck here to collect our donations. There will be music, decorations, student council helpers….fun for all…to celebrate the joy of giving!

    Spirit Days!
Every Friday is Spirit Day at Green Oaks.  In order to show your spirit, you need to wear green pants, sweatshirt, shirt or a Green Oaks T-shirt or sweatshirt (accessories do NOT count!).  Spirit Day is a way to boost Green Oaks spirit and show support for our school.  Teachers count how many people are wearing green in each class.  The class that has the most students showing spirit wins a green flag that hangs outside the room for a week.  GAME ON!!!!
Every Friday! Wear Green, Go Green Oaks!
Parents, please encourage your children to wear spirit clothes on Fridays!
Have you ever wondered how Spirit Days are chosen at Green Oaks?
It’s one of the things that members of the Student Council get to do!
Student Council is made up of officers and representatives from 4th and 5th.  (Oh, we have teacher advisors ~ but they don’t get a vote on Spirit Day ideas..... It’s all “kid” decisions.)  The reps go to Kindergarten through 5th grade and ask for ideas that students want to do for fun spirit days.
