    Art Camp
Art Camp Join us for a week of art and fun in the Sierra. We will be exploring many different art forms and  working on a variety of projects, painting and tie-dying to name a few. Along with art, students will participate in many of the regular camp activities such as canoeing, hiking, star gazing and skits. This program is for both beginning & advanced art students.

    Basketball Camp
Basketball Camp Join us for an exciting alpine week of playing basketball with an emphasis on basic fundamentals. Together we will improve your ball handling, shooting, rebounding, defense and knowledge of the great game of basketball. Each day you will also participate in the traditional camp activities such as boating, swimming, hiking and campfires.

    Video/Computer Camp
Computer Camp Working with some of the latest digital video technology, students will spend three to four hours each day learning how to use video cameras and computers to make short documentaries and commercials. Their work will be presented at a gala event Thursday evening at camp. Computer students will also engage in traditional camp activities.

    Music Camp
Music Camp Music Camp is in its 55th year of operation at Camp Winthers and is available to students who have completed a minimum of one year instruction on a band instrument (brass, woodwinds, percussion). Auditions will be held the first day of camp and final placement determined by grade level, playing ability, and the band instructors. Music Camp counselors are all proficient musicians who will aid in campers music instruction and overall camp experience.
The Music Camp will be taught by Maxwell Kiesner, Rio Americano High School, and Mica Dugan, Ottoman and Mission Elementary School
Campers will perform for family and friends during a concert on Friday night at Camp Winthers. Listening to the music as it is played in the open air amphitheater is a very special experience.

    Outdoor Ed
Outdoor Ed This program provides a summer camp experience for the child who has never been to the mountains and the child who grew up camping, offering both a fun and rewarding experience.
The outdoors provides the setting to hike and observe the Sierran natural history. Cascade Lake is the location for morning boating, afternoon swims and the weekly water carnival. Safety is emphasized as the students try their skills in such activities as boating and archery. Evenings are a time for campfires filled with songs and stories, skits performed by fellow campers and a star walk to Telescope Peak.

    Venture Camp
Venture Camp If you love to camp, but are too old for the Outdoor Education program, then this is the place for you. You will get to participate in many of our traditional outdoor activities and experience new adventures created just for older campers. This rewarding program will challenge you both physically and mentally as you further develop your outdoor skills. You will sleep under the stars most nights, hike, cook outdoors, paddle and boulder on rocks. This camp fills up fast, so be sure to sign up early!
