Bridges After-School Program

  • WHAT IS BRIDGES?

The San Juan Unified School District's comprehensive Bridges After-School Program provides FREE academic intervention and pro-social enrichment in a safe and positive environment. The Bridges After-School Program currently serves 3,500-4,000 students grades 1st-12th at 31 sites, Winston Churchill being one of them. Students realize academic success through the implementation of each of the four components of the program: academic support, enrichment/disguised learning, pro-social skills/recreation, and parent support and empowerment. In order for a student to be successful in the program, strong relationships between program staff, school staff, parents and students are needed. Relationships are key!

    HOW DO I APPLY?

To apply for enrollment in the Bridges After-School Program, please complete the Bridges After-School Registration Form, Parent Partnership Agreement and Emergency Form. Send the forms to school with your child, and give them to the designated Bridges After-School Program Site Coordinator.

Priority enrollment is given to students who are currently enrolled in Bridges After-School Program and would like to attend the upcoming school year.

Space is limited, and is available on first come, first served basis.
