Arcade Middle School changed to the fundamental concept in 1978. Since then it has been the district leader in most areas of academic pursuit.

Arcade Fundamental Middle School is an Open Enrollment school, with students coming from all corners of the district, and for good reason. Arcade is a small school with approximately 500 students that has a lot to offer. We are a three time recipient of the California Distinguished School award in 1988, 2001, and 2007. We focus on three guiding principles: Personalization, Relationships, and High Expectations. Our small size, knowing our students well, and holding all students to high standards sets us apart from all other middle schools. Here are some of the things we have to offer: STEAM, Art, Beginning, Intermediate, Advance and Jazz Band, Music Exploration, Honor classes, Student Leadership, WEB, Athletics, and a variety of fieldtrips and Science Camps.
