Dear Casa Roble Families,
It is an honor to have the opportunity to lead a school like Casa Roble Fundamental High School. Casa’s community and programs like SCORE, the Senior Project, ROTC, Agriculture, AVID and CTE offerings are respected throughout our region.
This is my twenty-fifth year serving the families of the San Juan Unified School District. I have been a social studies teacher, school counselor and high school vice principal. The opportunity to work in multiple educational roles has given me a deep understanding of students’ academic and social emotional needs and how systems in schools affect how those needs are met.
We are living through extraordinary times. Schools pivoted to distance learning overnight. Staff members are missing their students and colleagues. Students are missing their teachers and each other. Families are stressed. This fall will not look like it usually does. As we plan for this together, my focus will be on creating a safe and healthy environment, providing quality education and addressing the social emotional needs of all stakeholders. Be assured, I will listen to and learn to everyone. It will take all of us, teachers, classified staff, counselors, students, parents and our community to create the new normal for Casa Roble.
I am honored to lead a school with Casa Roble’s proud tradition at the heart of the Orangevale community.
With Ram Pride,
Tanya L. Baker
