SOK8 English 7 & 8 + Yearbook!

Hi!  Trying something new this year to help with organization and tracking down information!  That something new is this webpage!

And, for those that don't know me yet, here's some info:

My last name is pronounced Lie-bee!  Lie-bee, Lie-bee, Lie-bee!  My classroom runs on love, laughter, & lots of Starbucks (usually Toffee Nut White Mochas)! I ♥ Disney, Disneyland, Disneyworld - all things Disney!  I ♥ the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots (red & blue)!  I ♥ Reading (especially YA)!  I believe organization, goal setting, and progress monitoring are essential tools for creating self-motivated students that are advocates for themselves!  Hard work and perseverance are just as, or maybe even more, important than intelligence - working hard results in best performance and deserves to be recognized!  I ♥ learning as much as I ♥ teaching and am always looking for new ways to motivate and educate my students!  I enjoy visiting colleges and universities and collect pennants that I hang in my classroom!  This is my 15th year teaching and my 8th year at SOK8!  I received my Bachelors degree from California State University, Northridge.  My teaching credential and Masters degree came from Chapman University.  I am an A3WP Teacher Consultant for the National Writing Project.  Hmm, what else . .  .

Oh!  I am married!  Hence the MRS.!  Mr. Liby is a Senior Master Sergeant in the Air National Guard.  He has been deployed several times and I am a proud military spouse!

We have fur kids (I call them my "grrls") - two miniature dachshunds and a kitty!

And then there are my three nieces!  I love them to pieces and spoil them a little too much!
