    The Benefits Office is open to the public Monday - Friday (8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m; closed for lunch 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.).  Visitors must wear a mask.  Benefits staff will continue to be available during regular business hours by email at benefitshelpdesk@sanjuan.edu.  If you have a qualifying life event and you wish to change your benefit coverages, please complete a Benefit Enrollment Change form and email to the address above with a copy of your proof of qualifying event and proof of dependency if you are adding a new dependent.
     
    Kaiser and Western Health Advantage are waiving all cost sharing for medically necessary screening and testing for COVID-19, where the purpose of the visit is to be screened and/or tested for COVID-19.  For further information please refer to Kaiser's site at : Kaiser/coronavirus-information WHA's site at: WHA Coronavirus Information
     
    EAP support for increased anxiety:  For anyone experiencing increased anxiety, fear or emotional stress surrounding the coronavirus outbreak, it may help to speak to a professional clinician through the district's employee assistance program (EAP) provided by ACI Speciality Benefits.  ACI's EAP is confidential, free to use for employees, and open to all family members.  Call ACI at 800-932-0034 or email:  eapinfo@acispecialitybenefits.com to learn more about professional EAP support available.
     
     
    General Information
     
    Please refer to the San Juan Unified School District Employee Benefits Guide for a summary of the benefits offered to district employees.
     
    Eligible employees of San Juan Unified School District are offered a comprehensive benefits package. These benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage. The District contribution for your benefits are determined by your applicable employee group. Employee premiums costs for the 2021 plan year can be found here.
     
    New benefit eligible employees must enroll within 30 days of the date of starting in the benefit eligible position. If you do not enroll at this time, your next opportunity will be during the annual Open Enrollment period which is held during November. Elections made during Open Enrollment are effective January 1st.
     
     
    If you have a qualifying event, such as marriage, domestic partnership, divorce, birth of a child, death of enrolled family member, change in employment status etc, you have 30 days from the date of the event to make changes to your medical plan, dental plan, or vision plan, or your section 125 reimbursement account.
