• Principal's Message

    Greetings San Juan Family!

I am Dennis Foster, your proud new principal of San Juan High School.  I want our school community to know that I feel blessed to be here at San Juan.  SJHS has such a rich history in Citrus Heights, and I’m eager to learn as much as possible about our traditions and those who walked these hallowed halls before me.

This year starts my 23rd year in education- 11 years as a social science teacher and 11 years in administration.  The biggest draw for me to SJHS was the diversity of the student population and the staff.  Even though I haven’t had the opportunity to meet too many people, everyone I’ve come in contact with including city council members, parents, students, and local business owners have been kind and supportive of me, and I greatly appreciate it.

This year our journey will start differently than any school year in history at SJHS.  Distance Learning was a new challenge for everyone involved.  Rest assured, as your principal with the support of this wonderful staff, we will provide the quality educational experience our students deserve.  Our staff have been working tirelessly all summer preparing for the opening of school in August - we have reviewed data and feedback from the Spring, and we are committed to continuing with that which worked and improving upon the challenging components to our program.

As we move along on this journey for our students, please feel free to contact my office with questions, concerns, feedback, and/or suggestions.  The relationship between the school and our community is key to properly supporting our students along their way to graduation and beyond!
