• Principal's Message

    Hello San Juan!

I am so excited about returning to my Spartan Family. About 10 years ago, I was a history teacher at the then-known NEW San Juan High School. We were excited about merging academics and career education together. As I return to San Juan, we will continue to build on the foundation of San Juan High School. As we build together, students, parents, guardians, teachers and school staff - we strive to support and encourage our next generation of young people.

I know that the last few years have been very difficult and challenging, both for families and school staff. I am excited though about our future. We are a small and proud family at San Juan High School. This coming year will be one for the record books. We are starting a new chapter at San Juan, built on Restorative Practices, Community, Academics and Athletics. I had the great pleasure over the summer meeting a couple of our alumni. They had graduated in 1953 and 1954, I was able to show them around campus and they were able to relive for a brief moment some great memories. They lamented over not being able to share how much their teachers meant to them and enjoyed the memories that were created while they were students at San Juan High School. As we said goodbye, I could see a glistening in the gentleman's eye. San Juan means a great deal to our Citrus Heights community.

I look forward to serving San Juan High School over a great many years to come!
