  • Dear Mira Loma Parents, Students and Community,

In keeping with the California Department of Public Health prevention guidelines, we will be limiting several activities from now through Sunday, April 13.  All dates and information are subject to change and we will update you as needed.

For now, the following activities are being postponed:  Our Winter Sports awards banquet, Pi Day Activities, Sports-a-Rama practices, rallies, the Sports-a-Rama event, and the district track meet.  We will be working diligently to keep you informed of our new schedules. Additionally many field trips and academic competitions have been canceled. While this is very hard news for our many competitive scholars, we have to think about your safety first.

You might hear your student use the term social distancing.  This means when in a new group gathering or out in public, trying to stay 6 feet apart.

At our school site, the custodial staff is working diligently to wipe down surfaces and keep rooms and common areas clean.  If the soap dispensers are empty in a restroom, I have asked students to report that to our administration.

Lastly, there is a change in the return to school policy following an illness.  Students and staff are now to be fever free without medication for 72 hours before returning to school or work.

Please continue to check our district website for the latest updates, and I will certainly notify our families of any other major changes that take place.
