Mira Loma Parents and Community,
My name is Clete Purinton, and I’m truly honored to be your new principal. I’ve enjoyed my 5 years as a Vice Principal, and I am so excited for the opportunity to continue working at Mira Loma in this new capacity. Mira Loma is blessed to have such a dedicated faculty, and I am honored to be a part of the long-standing tradition of academic success. I am passionate about student learning, and I want to see all our students prepared for the next step of their journey to reach their dreams.
Parents, there is a vast number of opportunities to join parent groups specifically involved with your child’s academic and extracurricular activities. Those parent groups include IBPO, ISPO, Boosters, and ELAC. Please check the website for more information about how to be involved in each of these groups www.sanjuan.edu/miraloma
Our parent groups are a great way for you to involve yourself in school-related programs, but there are other forums such as Site Council, that determines how we use our supplemental funds to address the needs of our students. We also have a need for a parent and student to be on our safety committee. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in either of these opportunities.
Students, the beginning of the school year is fast approaching. Our first day of school is August 12th. It is anticipated that you will be excited and anxious about returning to full in-person learning this year. Our staff has worked hard to prepare for the start of school and we look forward to reestablishing the Mira Loma culture in 2021-22.
Once again, I’m honored to be your new Principal, and I look forward to supporting every student in their academic journey in the 2021-22 school year.
