Arden was constructed in 1914 as Arden Elementary School serving grades one through eight. It originally had a small auditorium and a wooden bungalow on each side.
The oldest portions of the current school are the multi-purpose section, including rooms one and two. The central wings were added in the 1950’s and the separate buildings on the east side of the school were constructed in 1964.
Arden became an intermediate school, serving seventh and eighth grades only, during the 1965-1966 school year.
