The counseling department works with students in a number of different ways. We are available to offer support for academic, career, social/emotional, and personal issues. We offer individual and small group counseling, as well as helping students if they are experiencing problems with schoolwork or peers. We also support the WEB program (Where Everyone Belongs). This program helps to support students transitioning into middle school and a select group of 7th and 8th grade students are trained to mentor our incoming 6th grade students throughout the school year.

We also offer family education and resources. Parents and guardians can utilize our beautiful remodeled Teacher’s Lounge in room 9. We also have a desktop computer and printer made available for our parents to use as needed. Stop by and check it out!

Here are some of the ways counselors offer support:

    • Setting goals

    • Education and career planning

    • Course selection and 4-year planning for high school

    • Coordinating Parent/ Teacher meetings

    • Peer conflict resolution

    • Small group counseling

    • Academic support to struggling students

    • And more!
