Dear Students and Parents,
On behalf of the Will Rogers staff, I would like to welcome everyone to the 2021-22 school year. We are excited to be back for another great year at Will Rogers. I would like to invite you to our orientation according to the following schedule starting in the MP Room. Before orientation, please take a moment to fill out the following information to pick up schedule:
- Emergency Card-Please fill out online via the Parent Portal-Instructions included in packet.
- Title 1 Parent Compact
- School Funding Form-Please fill out online via the Parent Portal-Instructions included in packet
- All Required Immunizations are necessary for 7th grade entry. Personal belief exemptions no longer apply.
While this orientation is voluntary, we encourage you to attend. We are looking forward to a wonderful school year.
TO INCOMING SIXTH GRADERS – There are two separate orientations on Thursday, August 5, 2021 organized by the student’s last name.
Students with the last name A-K are welcome to attend orientation anytime between 8:00am-10:00am. The first stop is the MP Room.
Students with the last name L-Z are welcome to attend orientation anytime between 10:00am-12:00pm. The first stop is the MP Room.
***SIXTH GRADE WEB WELCOME EVENT***
All 6th grade students are invited to attend a “student only” welcoming event on Wednesday, August 4th from 9:00am-10:30am. Parents can drop off their student and pick them up after the event. Students will get the chance to play games, meet classmates, and tour the campus guided by a student leader.
TO INCOMING AND RETURNING SEVENTH GRADERS - Seventh grade orientation will be on Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 12:00-2:00pm. You are welcome to attend anytime within that time frame, starting in the MP Room. Please remember that 7th graders must have Tdap and 2nd Varicella (chicken pox) for 7th grade entry along with all other previously required immunizations.
TO INCOMING AND RETURNING EIGHTH GRADERS – Eighth grade orientation will be on Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 2:00pm-3:00pm. You are welcome to attend anytime within that time frame, starting in the MP Room.
The family handbook which includes the K-12 Pupil Disciplinary Guidelines, photo/video opt-out information and 2021-22 school calendar is available to view and download via the Parent Portal or by visiting www.sanjuan.edu/handbook Please mark your calendars for Back to School Night on Thursday, August 26th and Open House on Thursday, May 12, 2022, both of which are minimum days with 11:11am dismissal time.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to call us at 916-971-7889 on or after August 2nd. We look forward to seeing you either at the orientation or the first day of school August 12, 2021, at 7:50am.
