Cameron Ranch supports students and families speaking 20 different languages. Services include small group instruction by an English Language Instrucional Specialist, translation and interpretation support, as well as opportunites for parent leadership and family input through the English Learner Advisoroy Committee (ELAC).
ELAC provides parents of English Learner students a place to collaborate with other families and school staff.
School sites with 21 or more English Learners must have a functioning English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). The committee advises the principal on the development of the school plan for English Learners. ELAC meetings are open to the public and all school community members are invited to learn about supports and services at our school.

The San Juan Unified School District presently serves 4,937 English Learners. This population comes from over 54 different languages. English Language Learners in the San Juan Unified School District are placed into immersion and mainstream programs taught in English. Parents may request placement into dual language immersion programs by contacting the EL Program Manager.For questions or concerns regarding English Learners, lines of communication may include:- Classroom Teacher
