• Anne Del Core

My name is Anne Del Core and I have a senior, Sophia, who will be graduating from Rio in the Civitas program in May. I have worked on the Civitas Advisory Board during this time, attending meetings, going on fieldtrips and helping with fundraising for the Pancake Breakfast.

In addition, at Rio I am the president of Rio & Beyond, the parent volunteer group focused on supporting the counselors and students through college and career seminars, alumni day, and one-on-one interviews with all sophomores and juniors.  This organization also hosts the San Juan Unified School District's College Night each fall at Rio.

Recently I worked with the Every 15 Minutes committee as program and assembly chair for this powerful drunk driving prevention program sponsored by the California Highway Patrol.

I am the SPAC (Superintendent/Parent Advisory Committee) representative for both Rio and Winston Churchill Middle School.  I am past president of the Churchill IB Booster Club (2 years) and continue to work on the Board there.  I am currently secretary for the Mira Loma IB Parent Organization for the second year as well.

I am thrilled with the education and experiences that have been afforded to my daughter through the Civitas program.  I support civics education for our young people and understand the difference each individual can have.

My youngest daughter who is an 8th grader at Churchill is applying to Civitas for next year as well.

It would be an honor to help lead the special program.  Thank you for your consideration.
