This is my fourth year as a Civitas mom, with three more Civitas years ahead of me (my sons are in their senior and freshman years at Rio). For the last couple of years I have been a member of the Civitas Advisory Board and welcome the opportunity to be more involved in the future. Currently serving as the President of Capital Crew Boosters Club, which has approximately 200 athletes and raises between $80,000-$100,000 per year, I am acutely aware of both the added value that a boosters-type organization can provide to the Civitas program, students and faculty, as well as the importance of adhering to bylaws, especially when operating as a non-profit organization. Previous pertinent experience includes Restorative Justice training, Speech and Debate Judge, Juvenile Justice Commissioner - San Luis Obispo County, and Board Member with Carmichael Soccer Club. I am currently employed full-time with the Department of Health Care Services.
