This will be my second year as a teacher, and I am so excited to be working at Mission Ave Open Elementary School! I studied Music Education at the University of the Pacific where my primary instrument was the trumpet. I have been involved in band programs as early as 4^th grade, but did not start playing trumpet until the 6^th grade, which is when I became very serious about music. 

The journey to Mission Ave Open has been a long one.  I was born in Nicaragua and then moved to Southern California, where I spent most of my life until I decided to go to UOP. Since then, I have fallen in love with Northern California and the music scene, which is so pivotal to the culture of the city. 

Outside of music, I have a deep interest in history and have dabbled in other art forms. I also have a love for traveling the world, and I have been to many different places with many different cultures. 

Mission Ave Open Band Schedule

Beginning Band is held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:40 - 8:10 AM

Intermediate Band is held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:05 - 7:35 AM
