Welcome to our Carnegie Scots, new and returning!  I am so excited to be embarking on my third year as a part of this dynamic community.  We are pleased to have new members joining our staff (Math, PE and ILS) and welcome our returning staff for another amazing year at Carnegie.  We are also thrilled to have a new Vice Principal, Takoa Raney

We will continue to support positive behavior and students’ commitments to being productive members here at Carnegie by having monthly Own It rallies, dances, student rallies, after school sports, an eighth grade promotion ceremony, and more!  We will also be challenging students to excel academically.  We challenge you, as students, to take risks in your learning, to trust your peers and those adults who are here to support, and to aspire to becoming the most academically successful student you can be.

Parents and guardians, we are all on this wonderful middle school journey together.  I encourage you to stay fully engaged in your student’s learning and successes by accessing the Q Parent Connection (parent portal) regularly, attending Back to School night, and joining in the fun at Open House on Thursday, May 14, 2020.  Additionally, you are invited to join me on the first Thursday of each month at 7:45 AM for “Bagels with Bender”... it's an opportunity to have casual conversation with me about topics that interest you.

Here’s to a bright and shiny new year!  I look forward to supporting you and your student in any way possible.

    Suzanne Bender

    Principal, Andrew Carnegie Middle School
