• Del Paso Manor Scores at the SEVA Awards!

    seva awards

On Sunday evening, April 15, the annual SEVA Awards were held at CSUS. The SEVA is an acronym for Student Educational Video Awards. The Rapid Learner fifth graders, under the direction of their teacher Mrs. Darrow, submitted numerous videos. The Mustangs received several nominations for their videos. Chase D received an honorable mention for his video about his passion for low riders. Click here to see his video on YouTube. Kaser W received a first place award for his video about food insecurity. His award winning video can be seen here.

In addition to the student awards, our own Mrs. Darrow was recognized for her committment to the SEVA's. She won the Allan Hinderstein Award which is given to teachers who exemplify teaching video production to students. In Mrs. Darrow's class, videos are created for the purpose of learning and applying what students learn in the classroom. Del Paso Manor is fortunate to have Mrs. Darrow as she is behind all of the amazing videos that are produced at Del Paso Manor. A video of her accomplishments can be viewed here.

If you'd like to watch all of the Del Paso Manor videos that were submitted, please click here. You will not be disappointed! Additionally, the San Juan Unified School District posted an article about the accomplishments of students who participated in the SEVA competition. That article can be found by clicking here.
