• We have several program areas and numerous classes that serve students in the Greater Sacramento area offering a variety of academic and fun options and support learner goals.

    Active Adults - Community Education


    Classes are designed for lifelong learning and enriching lives.  Classes are offered in computer applications, digital photography, art and music. Please see our catalog for titles, topics, dates and times of classes.


    Adult Basic Education (ABE)


    These classes teach reading, writing, and math.  We have staff who specialize in each area.  We can help you!  Call or come in today, to start a better tomorrow.

    Adult Secondary Education (ASE) - also referred to as High School Completion


    These classes are designed to help you complete credits you need earn a high school diploma.  We have classes that meet our San Juan Unified School District graduation requirements and curriculum aligns with State Standards.  Classes provide individualized instruction, and are offered day and night to help fit your busy adult life.  Students may also consider our Independent Study program for adults, where they meet once a week with their teacher, and do the course work at home.  Students must qualify for this program with a passing score on our assessment exam. 

    Career Technical Education (CTE)


    Classes are designed to provide skills training for the workplace.  There are many topics and classes available.  Please visit our current catalog, listed under "Programs" to see the topics, titles, and costs.

    Distance Learning


    Study in the comfort of your home and learn at your own pace.  Online supplemental learning to student’s English classes.  Students can earn up to 10 attendance hours per week.  Registration information is available through the students' English teacher. 

    English as a Second Language (ESL) and Citizenship


    Classes are available to assist adults interested in learning English.  We have several levels to support different student learning needs.  Classes provide help in reading, writing, listening, and speaking the English language.  We also offer Citizenship classes to help prepare you to take the Citizen exam. 

    Test Preparation for GED


    This prepares you for the GED Test.
