It’s a simple process: Text HOME to 741741 from anywhere in the United States, anytime, about any type of crisis. I’ve attached the step by step directions.
Crisis Text Line serves anyone, in any type of crisis, providing access to free, 24/7 support and information via a medium people already use and trust: texting.
Every texter is connected with a Crisis Counselor, a real-life human being trained to bring texters from a hot moment to a cool calm through active listening and collaborative problem solving. All of Crisis Text Line's Crisis Counselors are volunteers, donating their time to helping people in crisis.
Their website also provides guidance about a number of topics – this is found from the drop-down menu “Get Help.” The topics include: Coronavirus, anxiety, suicide, depression, emotional abuse, bullying, self-harm, loneliness, sexual abuse, school.
