Avoid group gatherings
As we enter the holiday season, avoid or minimize group gatherings. Health officials recommend avoiding gathering when possible and limiting any gatherings you do attend to have guests from no more than three households and take other precautionary measures.
-
Limit trips
Limit trips to the store or other public places when possible. Use delivery services for goods if it is an option for your family and be sure to take precautions when it is necessary to go out for food or essential items.
-
Use face coverings
When you are out in public, make sure each member of your family over the age of two wears a face covering to protect themselves as well as those around them.
-
Wash hands frequently
Frequently wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use of hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol are also encouraged when soap and water are not available.
-
Stay home if ill
If you or a family member feels ill or exhibits any symptoms, stay home from work, school or childcare programs. Do not go to public places. Seek medical advice from your healthcare provider and stay home and away from others until you have been symptom free without the use of fever reducing medicines for at least 72 hours.
