Requests and Scheduling
If you are a financial institution requiring a verification of employment for an employee, please choose from the options below. Verifications are completed within 1-3 days.

Employees who require a verification of experience letter or form completed, contact VOE@sanjuan.edu. If you know the name of your Personnel Technician, mail your request directly to the district office through district mail or regular mail at 3738 Walnut Ave., Carmichael, CA 95608.
A fingerprint background check is required prior to employment or volunteering in classrooms with San Juan Unified School District. There will be no charge for fingerprinting.
Bring the completed Fingerprint Authorization Form and a valid driver's license to the appointment at San Juan Unified School District Human Resources department.
The Human Resources Department is located at 3738 Walnut Avenue, in Carmichael, in the main district administration building. Please check in with the district receptionist upon arrival. Human Resources is open daily, except holidays and weekends.
After the appointment is completed, a receipt may be provided to the applicant with the Department of Justice's ATI number. The Department of Justice's Automated Applicant Response system may be contacted at (916) 227-4557 to find out the status of the fingerprint clearance.
The Human Resources Department will notify the site administrator when the applicant/volunteer has received fingerprint authorization to work or volunteer.
In order to have your fingerprints done as a volunteer, you will need to complete the online Volunteer Verification at www.sanjuan.edu/volunteer. Once completed, you will receive a confirmation email with a Fingerprint Authorization form attached along with instructions to schedule a fingerprint appointment. Passage of a pre-employment test is required for the following classified job openings in the San Juan Unified School District:
Account Clerk I & II
Payroll Technician I & II
Most positions, including, but not limited to, the following classifications:
Instructional Assistant - all types
- Child Development Assistant
Workplace Technology Assessment
- Secretary (Elementary, Middle & High School)
- Clerk, Intermediate Clerk Typist & Senior Clerk Typist
- Middle/Senior Records & Reports Clerk
- Administrative Assistant
When & Where are Pre-Employment Tests and
- District office testing center at Human Resources, 3738 Walnut Avenue in Carmichael
- All assessments are given by appointment only
- You will need an unexpired picture ID to test (e.g. Driver's License, Passport or DMV ID card)
Applicants will be provided both a printed and electronic version of their assessment results. The Proficiency test requires a minimum 70% passing grade in order to receive final results - specific sections of the test may be re-taken until the passing percentage is met. Applicants completing assessments are encouraged to keep electronic results as they do not expire.
