Early Learning Options

Our schools offer several different options to meet your child’s needs, from transitional kindergarten to traditional full-day and modified-day kindergarten. Onsite before- and after-school programs are also available through the Discovery Club and Bridges programs.

Our transitional kindergarten and kindergarten programs can provide a well-rounded beginning to your child’s education. With hands-on activities, art and technology learning opportunities, your child will develop the building blocks necessary to excel in one of our district’s Citrus Heights schools.

Transitional Kindergarten (TK)

Students will need to be 5 years old between Sept. 2, 2023 and April 2, 2024 to qualify for Transitional Kindergarten for the 2023-24 school year. The TK lottery opens on Feb. 13, 2023. Visit www.sanjuan.edu/TK for more information. 

Kindergarten

Students that will be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2023 can register for Kindergarten for the 2023-24 school year. Enrollment begins on Feb. 6, 2023. Visit www.sanjuan.edu/kinder for more information.
