Board Briefs: Feb. 10, 2026

Here are a few highlights from the Feb. 10 board meeting (the agenda packet is available):

Board hears 2025-26 Local Control and Accountability Plan mid-year update

Staff provided the board with a mid-year update on the 2025-26 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). The Governing Board adopted the 2024-27 San Juan Unified LCAP in June of 2025. San Juan Unified is now in Year 2 of implementing that plan, and the mid-year update reflected work completed to date.

The presentation highlighted budget status and spending progress, showing the district is largely on track with allocation and expenditures across all three goals outlined in the plan. Staff also summarized implementation progress, noting that the vast majority of planned actions are fully implemented across Goals 1–3.
