Encina High School students gain real-world experience through on-campus construction site visit

Students in Encina High School’s construction pathway recently participated in an on-campus site visit that provided a firsthand look at the facility upgrades underway at their school.

During the visit, students toured the framing of the new administration building and observed progress on the foundation of the future science building. The experience allowed students to connect classroom instruction to real-world construction practices at scale.

Encina partnered with CORE Construction and Kitchell to provide students with authentic learning opportunities that bridge education and industry. These partnerships help expand access and remove barriers, allowing students to learn directly from professionals working in the field.

San Juan Unified School District is proud to offer Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways that prepare students for in-demand careers and meaningful postsecondary opportunities.
