Mesa Verde High School to cut ribbon for new stadium on Oct. 13

The crowd goes wild! Mesa Verde High School will cut the ribbon for its signature stadium project on Oct. 13 at 3 p.m. Those interested in attending this event can RSVP for tickets through Eventbrite. 

Mesa Verde’s ribbon cutting ceremony will precede its homecoming Junior Varsity (5 p.m.) and Varsity (7 p.m.) football games against Rio Linda High School. To attend the first-ever homecoming football game in the new stadium, tickets must be purchased through Mesa Verde’s Athletics webpage. Football game tickets can also be purchased on the day of the game at the ticket booth via card payment.

The signature project features a football field, renovated softball fields, scoreboards, track and field amenities, a concession stand, bathrooms, bleachers, press box, new sound system and stadium lighting. New tennis courts have also been built adjacent to the newly-renovated parking lot. This heavily anticipated project has been in construction since Fall 2022. 

Mesa Verde’s stadium project was made possible through the district’s bond program. San Juan Unified has dedicated a significant portion of bond Measure N to build signature projects at each of the district’s comprehensive high schools.
