Participate: Mobile Device Policy Implementation Survey

State law requires that all school district adopt policies to restrict students use of cellphones and other mobile devices on school campuses.

Last spring, the San Juan Unified Board of Education adopted a policy to restrict students’ use of mobile devices during class time. Schools have been asked to implement the policy by Jan. 6, 2026. Many schools had existing restrictions in place while others have worked this fall to design and implement their own practice in alignment with the board policy.

We would like your feedback on how this new policy implementation is going. Students, staff members and families are invited to share feedback through this survey by Friday, Dec. 5.

Your feedback will help to identify best practices and inform any potential changes to the policy in the future.
