The middle school boundary adjustment process will resume this spring

The middle school boundary adjustment process at the western region middle schools (Arcade Fundamental, Arden, Katherine Johnson, Starr King and Winston Churchill) will resume this Spring, with a projected implementation date during the 2025-26 school year.

Feedback collection for the boundary adjustment process occurred in Spring 2023. Input opportunities during this time included a ThoughtExchange, an open-ended online feedback form, information booths at the impacted middle schools’ open house nights and three community feedback sessions. The feedback window concluded at the end of Spring 2023. To view collected feedback visit the middle school boundary adjustment webpage.

Delays during the construction of Katherine Johnson Middle School’s new campus temporarily delayed the middle school boundary adjustment process. Now that construction timelines have been updated, a presentation and recommendation are anticipated to be shared with the board for discussion on May 28 and action on June 11.
