We want to hear from you! Share your voice about your school facilities

San Juan Unified School District is committed to supporting growth and innovation in our schools. An important way to cultivate these values is to provide 21st-century standard classrooms and facilities to our students.

To ensure that we remain on track with necessary facility upgrades, San Juan Unified is updating its Facilities Master Plan, which was developed in 2014. This plan is designed to aid the district in making long-range facilities planning decisions for new construction, modernization and deferred maintenance of projects. We need your help to identify key areas of focus for our ongoing facilities planning efforts.

There are several opportunities for you to get involved and make your voice heard to guide the Facilities Master Planning process. In April and May, a series of nine community forums will be held at each high school in the district to gather community input. Feeder elementary and middle schools of their respective high school sites will also be discussed at these meetings.

Please visit the Facilities Master Planning page to see which feeder and neighborhood schools will be featured at each meeting. Meeting locations, dates and times are listed below:

  • El Camino Fundamental High School - Thursday, April 11 at 6 p.m.
  • Casa Roble Fundamental High School - Tuesday, April 16 at 6 p.m.
  • Del Campo High School - Wednesday, April 17 at 6 p.m.
  • San Juan High School - Thursday, April 18 at 6 p.m.
  • Mesa Verde High School - Wednesday, April 24 at 6 p.m.
  • Bella Vista High School - Wednesday, May 1 at 6 p.m.
  • Encina Preparatory High School - Thursday, May 2 at 6 p.m.
  • Rio Americano High School - Wednesday, May 8 at 6 p.m.
  • Mira Loma High School - Wednesday, May 15 at 6 p.m.

If you require an interpreter for any of these forums, please submit an interpreter request form at least 48 hours before the meeting date.

You can also submit your thoughts through an online survey if you are unable to attend a forum. Feedback collected will be used to update the district’s Facilities Master Plan, which is anticipated to be completed next year. Participate now through Friday, May 17 to provide feedback for your school site(s).
