Mariemont Modernization

When students return to Mariemont, they will be surprised to see new furniture, carpets and freshly painted classrooms (both inside and out). Modernized classrooms have been fitted with new dry-erase activity tables, desks, chairs, comfy reading seating and organizational bins. Each of these furniture pieces are decked out in aqua blue, bright green or a combination of both colors in a pattern design.

The modernization at Mariemont is expected to be completed later this fall.

Mariemont is a step closer to its fully modernized campus! The renovated F-Wing classrooms have new interior and exterior paint, carpet, air conditioning units, roofing, countertops, sinks, windows, plumbing, backpack hooks, concrete paving and 86-inch smart TVs.

The multipurpose room also received new windows to keep out the unwanted elements while maintaining the desired indoor climate.

Next stop: E-wing classrooms! New roofing, windows, sinks and fresh interior paint have already been completed in this wing. This next phase of classroom modernization is projected to be completed by Fall 2024.

Excitement filled the chilly air on Dec. 8 as Mariemont Elementary School students, staff, families and community members broke ground on the school’s new modernization project. This ceremony marks a momentous milestone for Mariemont, as these highly anticipated improvements will bring much-needed repairs to classrooms. 🏫🔨

It’s time to break ground on another modernization project! Mariemont Elementary School (1401 Corta Way, Sacramento) will host a groundbreaking ceremony for its campus modernization on Dec. 8 at 10 a.m.

The modernization project aims to renovate classrooms to 21st-century standards. This includes the installation of brand-new roofing, air conditioning units, teaching walls, carpet and furniture. Interior and exterior painting will also be completed during this project.

Those interested in attending this event can RSVP through Eventbrite. The event will feature student and staff speakers, and guests will have the opportunity to take a photo, “breaking ground” on the new project.
