We are updating our Facilities Master Plan!

San Juan Unified School District is committed to supporting growth and innovation in our schools. An important way to cultivate these values is to provide 21st-century standard classrooms and facilities to our students.

To ensure that we remain on track with necessary facility upgrades, San Juan Unified is updating its Facilities Master Plan, which was developed in 2014. This plan is designed to aid the district in making long-range facilities planning decisions for new construction, modernization and deferred maintenance of projects. We need your help to identify key areas of focus for our ongoing facilities planning efforts.

View the current 2014-2024 Facilities Master Plan.

For more information about the Facilities Master Plan or details  about school site assessments, please contact our Facilities Department at (916) 971-5780 or construction@sanjuan.edu.

October 2024 Update - Facilities Master Plan Vision Drafts are now available

This past spring, we gathered feedback from staff, students, and families regarding the needs of their campus facilities and their vision for improvements that would support teaching and learning. Site walks and assessments were also completed at each school to help inform updates to our Facilities Master Plan, due to be completed this spring.

Draft versions of the conceptual site and building plans for each campus are available. It’s important to note that the updates and new additions included in the plans represent more than $3.5 billion in projects, far beyond our district’s capacity to deliver immediately or all at once. While the concepts will be used to guide facilities improvement efforts, projects included in them are not guaranteed to occur and are subject to available resources.

View the plans below. Feedback was collected from the community via a feedback form from mid-October 2024 through mid-January 2025.
