Request for Proposals are for services by professionals, such as architects and engineers.

Valid licensing
Original insurance certificates (see requirements under insurance certificates above)

Informal bids are for projects that cost less than $200,000.

Use San Juan Unified's form to solicit at least three written informal bids.

San Juan Unified maintains a database of contractors to be contacted for informal bid opportunities. To be included in the database, please look at contractor's registration (CUPCCAA) to the left side of the web page.

Formal bids are for construction projects greater than $200,001.

Correct and valid contractors' licenses for general contractors and subcontractors
Correct and complete submission of identification and listing of general contractors and subcontractor's form.
Payment and performance bonds
Payment of prevailing wage rates
Please note: Work should not begin until a fully executed contract is in place.
