Parent Advisory Committee
The Local Control Accountability Plan Parent Advisory Committee (LCAP PAC) is a San Juan Unified board-appointed committee. The committee consults and provides advice to the Board of Education on matters pertaining to the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) with the goal of improving the performance of English learner, low-income, and foster youth students, as well as the performance of all students in the state priority areas.
The committee consists of parents or legal guardians of pupils enrolled in the district, and students enrolled in the district with an emphasis on parents, legal guardians, and students who represent state and district-identified targeted student groups. Employees who are represented by an employee group are unable to serve as members of an advisory committee.
Committee members serve two-year terms. Members may serve up to three consecutive terms for a total of six years served on the committee at the discretion and authority of the appointing board member/superintendent. The committee meets four times annually in person at a district-scheduled public meeting. Childcare and translation services are available upon request. Consistent meeting attendance is required.
