What is i-Ready and How Does It Support Learning?

i-Ready is an online program used in our district to support all students' reading and mathematics skills in grades K-8. It integrates a diagnostic tool with personalized instruction to support each student’s unique learning journey.

The Diagnostic is given once in September, January, and May.

How It Works: i-Ready begins with an adaptive diagnostic that identifies a student’s strengths and areas for improvement. The assessment adjusts in real time based on responses, providing a clear understanding of what each learner knows and is ready to learn next. A report with a performance level is generated.  

Personalized Instruction: Based on the diagnostic results, students receive tailored interactive lessons to build skills at their own pace, fostering confidence and academic growth. A customized instruction summary report includes key metrics, student gains, and how students perform and progress on lessons. This report helps teachers monitor lesson progress and plan instruction.
