SAT
The SAT is a standardized college admissions exam that measures skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. It is widely accepted by colleges and universities as part of the admissions process.
- Offered: Some school sites may offer the SAT during the school day in the spring
- Eligibility: Typically taken by students in 11th or 12th grade
- Registration: For school-day testing, students should consult with their school counselor. For national Saturday test dates, students must register independently through the College Board at sat.org
- Fees: Students are responsible for registration fees, although fee waivers are available for eligible students
SAT scores can be used to meet college admission requirements and may also qualify students for scholarships.
