Pathways to Emotional Wellness

Learn about the causes of depressing and what one can do to manage stress, anxiety and depression, including relaxation methods for mind-body wellness.

Loving Solutions is a great resource for parents and guardians struggling to meet the needs of strong-willed Elementary age children. This free parenting series include a workbook to support practice and follow through at home.

The FACE Mobile travels across our San Juan Unified district each week, visiting schools and local community spaces to provide families access to technology, free Wi-Fi, educational resources, free culturally relevant books, emergency food and diaper support, information about district and community supports, volunteer registration, employment opportunities, enrollment support, and so much more!

San Juan Unified School District’s Family and Community Engagement team is piloting a monthly FACE Mobile sponsorship opportunity for a select group of our community partners that support similar family initiatives found within our FACE Mobile. Currently, we are piloting this sponsorship opportunity with our San Juan Unified partners who focus on providing family and school support around STEAM initiatives and culturally responsive family engagement.

Presented entirely in Spanish, this workshop focuses on important topics to support student learning and ways that families can be involved. This workshop covers a range of topics such as high school graduation requirements, college and career readiness, school/community resources and more!
Designed to teach the importance of establishing a family reading routine with children at a young age, participants also learn about building English and Spanish vocabulary skills. This class is taught in Spanish.
Family Leadership Academy is a 6-week series that empowers families to gain a greater understanding of our educational system, current district initiatives, and parent leadership opportunities. This is designed for any caregiver or community member interested in taking an active role in being partners in education.
Level Up Leadership is a follow up series for graduates of the academy with a deeper focus on tools and strategies for effective leadership and joining district committees.
Experts share strategies to have meaningful conversations with families and youth regarding bullying, cyberbullying, social media use, internet safety, suicide, substance abuse and prevention.
Learn about the dangers of fentanyl and vaping.
Learn to address and prevent behavior problems, keep your family connected with positive communication and how to advocate for your child through Restorative Practices.
Learn about coping skills to support your student, resources for getting help and strategies to communicate with younger children struggling with mental health.
Learn effective communication strategies for resolving conflict and moving towards student-focused solutions.
Learn information about high school options and programs in San Juan Unified, as well as graduation requirements, enrollment and staff available to support.
Offered in collaboration with the Special Education Department, participants learn how to understand, navigate and advocate for students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP). Resources from local organizations are also shared to support families that have students with disabilities.
This 10-week workshop is ideal for parents/guardians struggling with difficult teen behavior. Designed by parents, for parents to help raise healthy and happy teens.
Loving Solutions
A 10-week series for parents/guardians of strong-willed children between the ages of 5 to 10 years old. Combines group learning with at home tasks to maximize learning and interests.
Co parenting
A 6-week skill building program designed for families raising children in separate households. Provides parents/guardians useful strategies to minimize conflicts and improve communication.
