Attendance Recovery
Overview
At San Juan Unified, we know that regular attendance is essential to student success. However, we also recognize that students may occasionally miss school due to illness, family emergencies, or other unforeseen reasons. That’s why we’re offering Attendance Recovery (AR), a new opportunity for students to make up missed instructional days and stay connected to learning.
Through AR, students can participate in extra learning sessions outside of the regular school day — before or after school, on weekends or during school breaks — to recover lost attendance. These sessions are voluntary, in-person and led by credentialed teachers, offering standards-based instruction and support.
