FAQs - General

Whom do you provide service for?

San Juan Print Shop supports the entire San Juan Unified School District. This includes all central office departments, all school sites and all school site associations (PTA, ASBs, etc.).

How do we pay for services?

The Print Shop operates under a budget allocation/chargeback system where customers will provide the Print Shop with a budget code to bill the services against. At the end of the month all work completed in that month is sent to Accounts Payable for an Expenditure Transfer. In other cases, a site or organization will pay by check. The check is made out to SJUSD and submitted to the Print Shop for deposit.

Can we have anything copies/printed?

Not everything can be duplicated. Most "shared" documents and documents created by the end user are acceptable. The duplication/printing of copyrighted materials must adhere to the guidelines set forth in BP 6162.6.

How fast can we get our copies back?

In most cases copying should be ready within a 3 day period, printing between 5 to 10 days. Depending on the complexity and volume of materials involved, time may be minimized for smaller jobs and lengthened for larger ones.

What will delay my order?

  • An incomplete or illegible Printing requisition. A requisition must have an authorized signature, contact person, budget code (5701/5751 Object) and a San Juan e-mail address.
  • Using the incorrect Printing requisition. Forms may not be substituted, they are color and number coded. (IMF/Non-IMF)
  • Submitting original documents that are not camera ready.
  • Submitting copyrighted documents without providing the copyright release permission from the publisher.

How do I track or check the status of my orders?

In order to track your order you must have a job number. Once a printing order has been processed you will automatically receive an e-mail notification with an estimated cost, due date and job number for tracking your jobs online.


The Printing Department reserves the right to alter job specifications to facilitate and/or achieve production cost savings. All due dates and costs are estimated and are subject to change.
