PTSA Scholarship
The PTSA Scholarship is open to graduating seniors who will be attending college or vocational school the following school year. Seniors must have a minimum 2.2 GPA and citizenship grades of B or above to qualify. PTSA membership (student or parent) is required. Generally, the application process begins in March and winners are announced on Awards Night. Up to 8 winners will receive $500. Counselors will share more information with the senior class in the spring once the application becomes available.
Ohio State University Scholars Program
The Ohio State University Alumni Scholars Program (ASP) is intended to recruit, provide recognition and financial assistance to incoming freshmen. The Alumni Association coordinates with the local alumni club, Admissions and Undergraduate Financial Aid.
The program provides scholarship awards as competitive, merit-based, recruitment scholarships. Selection criteria:
· Students who preferably apply to the University by November 1.
· Preferably accepted to The Ohio State University but not required.
· Demonstrate academic merit.
· Demonstrate involvement in school and community activities.
· Show a sound interest and positive attitude toward college work.
· Be residents of and/or attend high school in the area in which the participating alumni club’s membership is based.

The Sons of Italy Western Foundation Scholarship
Scholarships are available for the following categories:
● Academic Awards for graduating high school seniors
● Italian Language Study Grants for graduating high school seniors for the Summer of 2023.
● Athletic Award for graduating seniors pursuing a career in sports or a sports related field.
Requirements for Scholarship or Student Grant are as follows:
● Applicant must be wholly or partially of Italian descent.
● Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited College, University, or Community College in the Fall of 2023.

Each year, the Asian Pacific State Employees Association (APSEA) Foundation1 awards educational scholarships to students in the greater Sacramento region
Applicants must meet four minimum requirements:
Demonstrate involvement in the Asian Pacific Islander (API) community;
Be currently enrolled as a high school senior in good academic standing (2.5 GPA or above);
Reside and attend school in one the following seven counties: (1) Sacramento, (2) SanJoaquin, (3) Solano, (4) Sutter, (5) Yolo, (6) Yuba; (7) Placer
and Attend a four-year university/college, community college, or vocational school in the 2023-2024 academic year

Bryan Potts Scholarship
Bryan Potts, a member of the Rio Americano High School class of 1986, was a versatile student whose enthusiasm for living extended into all areas of his life. His qualities were much admired by his family and friends, and it is in remembrance of those qualities that this scholarship fund was created. It is the hope of the Bryan Potts Scholarship’s contributors and selection committee that, by annually recognizing a Rio Americano senior who shares Bryan’s joy of living, Bryan’s life will continue to touch young people in the community. The selection of the Bryan Potts Scholar is designed to identify a deserving student who best exemplifies Bryan’s personal characteristics. The selection committee will look for that student whose zest for life enriches others and whose inquisitiveness leads to greater knowledge and self-understanding. Ideally, the Bryan Potts Scholar will be an affectionate, warm person whose presence lends a touch of humor and vitality to every situation.

Phillip M. Dowd Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship, which was established to provide financial assistance for college-bound students pursuing a degree in Public Affairs/Administration or Political Science & Government who have endured hardship and/or overcome obstacles to achieve their goals.
This award is based on Philip M. Dowd’s belief that a college education is one of the best tools for those who wish to get ahead in life and his commitment to giving back to the community.

Benny Goodman Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the Benny Goodman Foundation, for students who have a genuine passion for music, and who use their musical gifts and talents to enrich and inspire the lives of others. The Benny Goodman Foundation was designed to identify deserving students who best exemplify his/her passion, drive, and love for music.
Eligibility Requirements
College students who meet the following criteria are eligible:
· Be attending any University of California or California State University in the fall
· Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher in music classes
· Majoring in music with an emphasis in jazz or classical music (preference will be given to the clarinet musician)
· Have a genuine passion and talent for music and plan to pursue a career in music
The Gregory Kenneth Sherrill Memorial Fund Scholarship - St. George's Episcopal Church
Application Deadline: April 1, 2023
Currently three scholarships will be awarded to individuals who fully intend to matriculate at a college
in the calendar year in which the scholarship is awarded. The amounts of the scholarship are $4,000,
$3,000 and $2,000.
