Currently we are only accepting enrollment requests for the current school year (2020-2021). Students who turned five between September 2, 2020 and December 2, 2020 are eligible for Transitional Kindergarten for this school year. Online enrollment requests submitted for next school year will not be processed until after the Transitional Kindergarten Lottery results are mailed to families that apply. Please check back during the application period to submit a TK Lottery application for next school year.
If your child is too young to begin kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year but will be 5 years old between September 2, 2021, and Dec. 2, 2021, your student is eligible to enroll in Transitional Kindergarten.
All students enrolling in a TK program MUST have ALL of the required immunizations by August 1, 2021, or be compliant within a series of shots.
Students enrolled in Transitional Kindergarten programs at schools that are NOT their resident school will be placed for Kindergarten at their resident school for 2022-2023. Parents may participate in the Open Enrollment Lottery for that school year to request Kindergarten placement at the school of their choice.

FAQsIf the student is attending Transitional Kindergarten at a school other than his/her residence school and wishes to continue at that same site for kindergarten, what is the process?State law now requires school districts to offer Transitional Kindergarten, or an extra year of kindergarten, giving students two years to develop the essential skills to excel academically and socially in elementary school.
