Hello Mustang Families,
In the last three years, the Arlington Heights learning community has developed a 21st Century Learning Skills approach through its S.T.E.A.M. initiative. As San Juan Unified School District's first Project Lead the Way school, students are provided flexible learning options when they collaborate around solutions to real world problems through engineering, coding and robotics in our Maker Space and campus-wide. We've prioritized STEM projects throughout all the grades, technology in all of the classrooms and annual culminating science-based 5th grade field trip to Sly Park. In addition to our 21st Century Learning Skills approach, we are utilize a Responsive Classrooms approach to community building school-wide. Our dance team performs at Family Literacy Night, Winter STEAM Night and Family Science Night. Arlington Heights Elementary has a rich history in its 60 years, but the last three are definitely the most exciting.
