San Juan Unified has expanded notifications to parents/guardians when someone tests positive for COVID-19 in one of their student’s scheduled classes. These expanded notifications are part of the district’s ongoing efforts to keep families informed about cases that may affect their students and to encourage everyone to be thoughtful in monitoring for symptoms and considering COVID-19 testing.

The notifications will include the dates that the positive individuals were last on campus, as well as recommendations for testing. Students can remain in school if they receive one of these notifications unless they develop symptoms or test positive for COVID-19. (Any student who is placed on a quarantine will receive a message specific to their quarantine status.)

In addition to these expanded notifications, the district’s COVID-19 Dashboard has also been updated to include columns for all new cases reported at each site for the current and prior day.

Missed a message? Parents/guardians can at any point view the messages they have received from San Juan Unified by downloading the district’s mobile app and logging in with their Parent PIN and password. Messages can also be viewed by visiting www.sanjuan.edu/notify and logging in with the same Parent PIN and password.
