Del Dayo Elementary School's next-generation project is nearly complete, with only the construction crew's "punch list" of final items to finish and for furniture and equipment to be delivered and installed.
Del Dayo's classrooms are a modular building manufactured by a company called Project FROG. The classrooms are eco-friendly, provide great natural lighting along with LED lamps and will include multiple writing walls, flexible furniture and 70" flat-screen televisions.
San Juan Unified expects this to be the first class-size reduction project to get final sign-off this summer, with Mariemont, Greer and Thomas Edison Language Institute following suit shortly. Cowan Fundamental classrooms will be done in November.
